Magnetic Dosing Funnel V2

The object

This short dosing funnel adds a wall around a 58-millimeter portafilter so grounds can move from grinder or cup into the basket with less spill. Eight neodymium magnets hold it in place, while the open interior leaves room for a WDT tool.

The knurled exterior makes the funnel easier to lift after distribution. Owners of machines with built-in portafilter cradles should confirm clearance, since the funnel can interfere with some grinder docks while attached.
