About this coffee
We're so excited to launch our first Costa Rica coffee release in over 10 years, and we’re especially excited that it comes from Diego Robelo of Aquiares Estate. Diego is the son of Alfonso Robelo, who, in the 1980s, revolutionized production at Aquiares after a century of operation. Today, Aquiares remains a model in the coffee industry for innovation, equitable production, and sustainable agriculture. Bordered by two rivers, the Aquiares Estate resides on the slopes of the Turrialba volcano. The farm is exclusively growing the Esperanza varietal. The red honey process retains more mucilage during drying to accentuate lush tropical fruit notes.
