About this coffee
Earlier this year, we featured the Tanzania Idwili AA, a larger bean from this same farm. Now, we’re excited for you to try its counterpart: the Peaberry, a smaller bean from the very same place. Peaberries occur naturally when only one seed develops inside the coffee cherry instead of two, resulting in a rounder shape and often a more concentrated flavor. This Peaberry brings a richer, red-fruit character to the cup — a contrast to the AA’s bright citrus and tropical notes. Like the AA, this is a washed process coffee. But there’s more to come: the co-op is exploring new processing methods, including natural and anaerobic techniques. We will keep our eye out for these exciting coffees in the future. Taste Notes: Dark chcocolate, raspberry, caramel Processing Method: Washed Roast: Light Brewing Method: Try Chemex , AeroPress, or Drip for excellent results.
