Coffee Rocket

The object

The Coffee Rocket nests its reusable filter and grounds hopper inside the 8-ounce water cone for storage. Folding, notched legs grip the rim of a mug and keep the cone above the brewed coffee, so the compact unit does not require disposable paper filters.

Its hopper holds about 10 grams of medium-ground coffee, which sets expectations for one modest cup rather than a large batch. The filter screen rinses clean for repeated camp use, while the small dose calls for a measured pour to avoid a weak brew.
