Cranberry, Fig, Dark Chocolate

About this coffee

Notes Cranberry, Fig, Dark Chocolate Origin Santa Maria and Pitalito, Huila, Colombia Elevation 1600-1900 MASL Varieties Caturra, Colombia, Castillo Process Washed Taking its name from Colombia's highest volcano, Nevado del Huila is a communal lot sourced primarily from producers in the towns of Santa Maria and Pitalito in Northern and Southern Huila, respectively. This is our fifth season in a row to work with this terrific coffee and in this new harvest we’re tasting a perfect balance of tart berry and sweet purple fruit with a deep and round finish that reminds us of dark chocolate. The farms that contribute to Nevado del Huila sit at elevations ranging from 1,600 to 1,900 meters above sea level and grow predominantly Caturra, Colombia and Castillo varieties. Each small lot that comprises this coffee undergoes a rigorous selection process, being evaluated multiple times before it can be selected as a final component. This meticulous approach ensures a level of quality and consistency that allows our roast profile to highlight the unique character of coffees from this remarkable region.
