Linea Caffe builds its identity around a “throughline” from seedling to cup, treating growers, roasting, service, and the finished drink as connected parts of one process. Founded in 2013 by veteran roaster Andrew Barnett, the San Francisco company pursues sweetness-forward coffee rather than roast-fashion extremes. Its stated goal is approachable coffee that works across brewing methods and remains forgiving when home preparation is less than exact.
That accessibility sits beside a defined agricultural position. Linea completed its transition to an entirely organic coffee inventory in 2023 and emphasizes organic, regenerative, and biodynamic farming practices. It also holds Certified B Corporation and California Green Business status.
The brand’s local expression stays compact: a Mission District cafe and a Potrero Hill roastery-cafe. Together, they frame a style rooted in balanced flavor, considerate sourcing, and hospitality without ceremony. The result is coffee designed less as a technical performance than as a dependable daily pleasure—careful in production, but deliberately easy to share.
